After thoroughly cleaning the teeth, they are sealed the same day, or medication is placed in the affected teeth to remove any infection. The timeframe for sealing will be determined by your dentist. If the tooth is not sealed that day, a temporary filling is placed on the exterior hole of the drilled tooth to prevent food and other contaminants from entering the cleaned tooth. RCT teeth may also be fitted with a crown to make them suitable for daily use. Any additional dental work will be discussed with you by your dentist.
